Honoring Heritage: A Special Visit with the Pruett Family at Red River Ford in Cabot
It was so special to visit with the Pruett’s; the previous owners of the land that Red River Ford in Cabot sits on. Hubert and Helen Pruett bought the land in 1957 and used it as farmland. Today we got to visit with Karen Pruett Campbell (Daughter of Hubert and Helen), and Kevin and Jessica Pruett. We are so grateful they entrusted us with their land so that we could continue to bless the Cabot community.
A Glimpse into the Past
The land on which Red River Ford in Cabot now stands has a rich history that dates back to 1957 when Hubert and Helen Pruett first purchased it. Initially, this land served as fertile farmland, a testament to the Pruett family’s hard work and dedication to caring for the community of Cabot that was made up of only 2,000 people. For decades, the Pruett family nurtured the land, and it became an integral part of their family legacy.
A Heartwarming Reunion
Recently, we had the distinct pleasure of hosting a visit with members of the Pruett family. Karen Pruett Campbell, daughter of Hubert and Helen, along with Kevin and Jessica Pruett, came to see how the land they cherished for so many years has been transformed. It was a truly special moment for all of us at Red River Ford.
Continuing the Legacy
The Pruett family’s decision to entrust us with their land was not taken lightly. We are profoundly grateful for their confidence in us and for allowing us to build on the foundation they established. Their legacy of hard work, dedication, and community spirit lives on through our dealership.
At Red River Ford, we strive to honor the Pruett family’s legacy by serving the Cabot community with the same dedication and care they showed to their land. Our goal is to create a space that not only provides exceptional automotive services but also fosters a sense of community and belonging.
A Commitment to Community
The visit with the Pruett family was a reminder of the importance of roots, history, and community connections. It reinforced our commitment to being more than just a business; we aim to be a pillar of support and a source of pride for the people of Cabot.
We believe that the land we occupy holds stories and memories that are vital to our community’s heritage. By honoring these stories, we strengthen our ties to the community and ensure that the legacy of families like the Pruetts continues to inspire future generations.
Looking to the Future
As we move forward, we remain dedicated to upholding the values and traditions that the Pruett family embodied. We are committed to using this land to bring positive change and blessings to the Cabot community, just as the Pruetts did for so many years.
Our heartfelt thanks go to Karen Pruett Campbell, Kevin, and Jessica Pruett for their visit and for sharing their family’s history with us. It was an honor to connect with them and to learn more about the land that holds such a special place in their hearts. We are privileged to carry forward their legacy and to continue serving the Cabot community with pride and dedication.
